The Canu typeface was created as part of a second-year design assignment.
The goal of this exercise was to create a brand-new typeface inspired by historical engravings.

To do so, I drew inspiration from an engraving of the Batthyány tér Market Hall in Budapest, which I repurposed by incorporating this typeface into it.

I particularly enjoyed working with ligatures and numbers in order to create a typeface that is both experimental and legible enough to be used for titles.

This typeface is not yet finalized or available to download. I am aware that it still needs improvements, and I plan to keep working on it.
