During my studies at ECV in Aix-en-Provence, we took part in a video workshop. The goal of this workshop was to create a music video based on a track chosen by the class. The song was selected through a class vote, and our choice landed on N95 by Kendrick Lamar.
For the video, each group had to produce a section of the clip, divided according to the number of groups. With @margot, we were assigned the last 45 seconds, and we explored the use of green screen to manipulate the size of the crowd and give the video a strong visual impact.
This technical approach echoes the message of the song: Kendrick asserts his independence by refusing to be influenced by others’ opinions and by pursuing his artistic vision without worrying about controversy.
